Uygulamalı Davranış Analizi (ABA), otizm ve diğer gelişimsel farklılıkları olan bireyler için bilimsel araştırmalara dayanan etkili bir terapi yöntemidir. ABA’nın temel amacı; olumlu davranışları destekleyip artırmak, bireyin günlük yaşamını zorlaştıran davranışları ise azaltmaktır. Bu terapi sürecinde çocuklar; iletişim kurma, sosyal etkileşimde bulunma ve yeni beceriler kazanma konusunda desteklenir. ABA’nın etkili olduğu, yapılan çok sayıda bilimsel çalışmayla ortaya konmuştur.
